Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb. 13-19) is something that’s been recognized and promoted in the Division of Student Affairs over the past few years. There will be events and programs happening throughout the month to help brighten our students’ days and encourage gratitude and kindness.
Being kind to others and ourselves is more important than ever. Sharing gratitude and kindness can help us stay connected and hopeful during uncertain times. The best part about random acts of kindness is that it has a ripple effect. One kind deed can turn into a chain of acts that positively affects many people.
Random acts of kindness can include expressing appreciation for a colleague, volunteering in your community or simply acknowledging fellow Buffs with a friendly greeting on campus.
To help pay it forward this month, check out the printable Random Acts of Kindness calendar for the workplace. There are hundreds of ideas for yourself and your team to share kindness this month and all year long. Find more ideas from randomactsofkindness.org.
We’d love to know what you’re doing for Random Acts of Kindness Week, and any other plans you have to spread kindness. Share your acts of kindness on the SA Staff Connect Teams channel the week of Feb. 14 for an opportunity to win a prize for you and a colleague.
We look forward to seeing your random acts of kindness this month!
